Ch. Clayco Damn Hot
“Zack”
2/11/1993 – 24/5/02
After purchasing “Jackson” from Simon in May 1993, six months later we decided it was time to get a mate for Jackson, so we contacted Simon Mills to ask if we could have the pick boy from his upcoming litter from Gr. Ch. Grauhund Nikkitah “Nikki” and Ch. Bromhund Galaxie “Spock”. I had seen Nikki running around the paddock when we went to pick up Jackson and thought she was one of the most stunning bitches I had ever seen (mind you I still think that today). Simon told me he was also keeping a boy and I could have second pick.
Rick and I travelled down to Canberra to pick our puppy and in January 1994 we bought Zack home to meet his lifetime buddy Jackson. They were definitely the odd couple.
Zack was very arrogant and confident, the first time he walked into Jackson’s backyard at eights weeks of age, he hopped up on Jackson’s bed and went to sleep, with Jackson looking at him as if to say “what is going on here”.
Zack was my husband Rick’s dog and Rick trained him to his CD title, mind you this has scarred Rick for life as far as going into the Obedience Ring with another Weimaraner. Rick could write book on the antics that Zack got up to in the ring.
Zack was also a Houdini, he could also escape from anywhere, he could undo dog run gates jump over fences. When I would arrive home from work at the top of our very long driveway, Zack would jump over the pool yard fence and meet me at the gate and run down beside the car to the bottom of the driveway.
Zack gained his Aust. Championship title, however, at the age of two he unfortunately lost his front tooth in an accident, and was only shown very sparingly from then on.
Sadly we lost Zack to bloat in May 2004.
You will be missed always Zack. Your legacy lives on in your daughter Lexie.
