“Jackson”

In 1989 my Weimaraner Ch. Nuage Bond “Klute” died aged 11 years. Four years later I decided I was ready to purchase another Weimaraner (a male of course) and get back into the show scene. I contacted Simon Mills who had a litter of puppies from Ch. Clayco Toronto Bluejay x Ch. Bromhund Galaxie, and arranged to see the litter at Sue & Rudi Pinnows place at Sutton Forest, Simon travelled up from Canberra with the puppies and we chose Jackson.
Jackson did obtain his Aust. Champion title, whilst he was not a world beater in the ring, he had lovely free flowing movement and was always the showman. He obtain his CD title with ease and then a friend of mine Gaille McPhee who is a marathon runner, asked if she could take Jackson for his Endurance Title. Jackson was one of the first Weimaraners to gain the ET title in New South Wales.
Jackson was a long haired carrier and was used at stud by Caron Hill of Sinaway kennels and he is the sire of Gr. Ch. Sinaway Quest for Gold “Brodie” and Ch. Sinaway Quest for Glory, and also used by Roz Buckley of Weilander Kennels, producing both varieties.
Jackson was Mr. Personality and was loved by everyone that met him. He would proudly greet our guests at the gate with his hession bed in his mouth. If we had people come to look at puppies, they would always ask if they could have Jackson instead of the puppy. I’d tell them they would have to get in line on the waiting list for him.
Sadly Jackson died two months after his soul mate “Zack” in 2003.
“Not a day goes by when I don’t think of you and look at your photo on the wall old mate”.
