RIP Folly Doll
Folly was our foundation bitch for Amarige and the first bitch that we have owned. After having owned only male Weimaraners since 1973, when Linda Butler of Talfryn Weimaraners decided to breed Talfryn Spring Treasure AI to our “Shade” Gr. Ch. Clayco Just for Knicks, we decided on pick bitch rather than a stud fee.
Folly obtained her Aust. Champion title but wasn’t really keen on the show scene, so we retired her quite early and she is very content to chase rabbits, swim and generally potter around our property, as well as regularly raiding our panty, even though the door is tied up with an occy strap, and raid our garbage bin, which is now bolted and chained to a brick wall!!!
Folly was bred to our dog Ch. Clayco Damn Hot CD “Zack” in 2000 and produced eleven puppies, we kept Amarige First Illusion “Lexie” from this litter. Then in 2004 we bred Folly again to Gr. Ch. Divani Just a Dash “Dash” and she once again produced eleven puppies, this time we kept Ch. Amarige Worknclass Man “Barnsey”.
Folly has the lovely temperament of her dad Shade (who was not a thief) and these days has slowed down a little bit and spends more time sleeping on the lounge than chasing rabbits, though she still occasionally catches one.
